HEART OPENEr
My Yoga
I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years. However, when I hit my first Anusara yoga class, I fell in love. The themes weaved into the classes and the focus on alignment piqued my interest to take my first teachers training. Along the journey, I was introduced to different Hatha Yoga styles and blended them into my practice and teaching. I have been strongly influenced lately by the connection of the breath and teach my classes accordingly. Previously I would say, "connect to your breath" but it was a verbal cue without substance. Now, I show the connection via movement following the breath. Volunteering and teaching seniors has also helped me to better understand many alignment issues.
I instruct Hatha yoga, Flow yoga & Vinyasa yoga.

The reasons for a private practice are many:
- Private classes give you an opportunity to ask questions during the practice and to have more attention paid to your alignment. This is good for everyone at least once but becomes more valuable if you generally experience physical pain or insomnia etc.
- Private classes can be a good segue into group classes after you have learned the proper alignment - think of it as your own private workshop
- You can wear the most comfortable clothes you own
- Private classes are tailored to your needs only
- I had a client whose yoga practice thrived more in her own space than a studio space - simply an individual preference
